Which is an irrelevant thing to say as the goal is to get it up, it makes absolutely no difference how long you take if you're training for strength. If training for hypertrophy the cadence is generally two seconds on the concentric and 4 on the eccentric...... Lackadaisicalcube

And in general terms......... the more muscle you have that’s all moving around......... the more oxygen supply it takes to feed them......... so yes more muscle = less endurance.

But you can train your body to be able to supply the oxygen needed so a big muscular guy can have better endurance than a non athlete.

Lefty, when should you start liftin fast?

    3*3 3*5 3*30?

or should you just leave the fast lifting to plyo? because when you do 1 rm and 3*3 or 3*5 your going to be training the muscle the same regardless of how quickly your doing it?

I got it from the 90's lmao

I guess it's off topic but I've never heard anything that contradicted it. Is it something you can explain quick? If not feel free to message me a link to some literature, I've always lived by the concept of training strength that way. Why would you purposely try to lift a heavy (near-maximal) weight slowly?

im not one to speak for any one as im a ****** but ii dont think by saying you dont need to lift it fast hes automatically inferring that you need to lift it slow.

i may be complelty wrong i believe the point is that the set and how much weight your lifting makes up how the lifting effects how the muscle is trained, not how quickly or how slowly you do it.

so if you just lift weight normally instead of as explosively as possibly your technique/form would be better right?

This is what I was thinking. The weight's going to move at a slow crawl, but you're making an effort to push/pull it as fast as possible, and that's where the gains are.

Dont train like a body builder.

Look at the westside barbell stuff. That will make you way more explosive.

Also I think above average Explosive Strength & ultimate Muscle Endurance will go a lot further than ultimate Explosive Strength & above average Muscle Endurance in any martial art.

    It’s the Ali over Tyson.
