Hi guys i need advice on methods of getting through a weight loss plateau.
Atm im eating between 1200-1300 cals a day for 6 days and have 1 cheat day. On the six days i do boxing on 4, runs on 3 and weights on 3. This week the scales say i only lost 0.1kg:twisted::fire

Lots of water. ONLY water. Not even fruit juice. So no orange juice either.

From experience I know it works.

Everytime you drink water your body will go in digestion mode. So you will start burning extra calories while taking in none.

Plus all that water will wash out the toxics as well. Lots of water can wash out vitamins and minerals as well and since you will take in less vitamins by drinking no fruit juice (vitamine C) you need to get it from somewhere else. Like vitamin pills, fruit or other healthy food.

Drinking only water does not mean take in less calories. It just means getting your calories from somewhere else. You can eat lots of salad when you dont drink fruit juice. Also you can eat more protein for your muscles. You will feel better since you got more food in your stomach.

Look at the package for fruitjuice and you will see how much carbs and suger there are in fruitjuice.

If you want orange juice what you can do is either eat oranges or get the juice from the oranges but dont buy fruit juice from the store since it has to much sugar.

  10. on 1300 calories i wonder how you even manage to train properly and with intesity, maybe its something wrong with your diet, but certainly it seems like you need more calories.

Infact, before people go further, it's probably best that you share your typical diet...

I just cut 30lbs in the last 3 months. I did not do that by starving myself. Your diet is crap, and you need to post more data about it and your training if you want any real help.

    yeah post your dieet.

And if you train 10 times a week (right?) And you only eat 1300 calories a day and you still cant lose 1.1 kg, maybe you should not be a lightweight but a light welter weight. Seriously.

That's mental, your training must be very poor quality. You should stop your weight sessions because all you're doing is breaking down your muscle and without the nutrients you'll be making yourself weaker because they're not going to repair properly, in effect your weight sessions are 'get weaker' sessions.

Your body is trying to maintain homeostasis, you're starving it so your metabolism is slowing down. You're amino acids (your muscles/protein in your body) are being used for energy. Keep it up and you'll just keep getting weaker and softer, on the plus side if you want to get fat easily when you stop training it'll be a piece of cake (pun intended).

Eat some food ffs and try to educate yourself, there is a good way to lose weight and then there's your way.
If you need to lose that kilo or two before a fight there are ways, eating a low fibre diet (eating simple sugars) for a couple of days before your weigh in you can lose a kilo or two and still have the energy in your body. There are plenty of tricks without having to resort to making your body eat itself.
