weight loss

    so i got a diet question... whats the proper weight to lose in a week on a decent diet? .. without killing yourself and really being able to keep up with it

    no pop . no junk .. no bull**** .. just good eating and water ..

    I think the safest is 1-2 pounds a week. Depends on your exercise level before and after you begin the diet and how much you have to lose to begin with. But the average for the way you are describing is about 1-2 lbs.

    Yep only 1-2 lbs a weak, anymore than that your'e probably just losing water weight or muscle. Only if you were very overweight would that not be applicable.

    I have been gradually losing weight over the last 3 months have lost about 16lbs in total, am down to about 14% body fat now.

    so say your like 50-100 pounds overweight.. about 5 pounds a week wouldnt be cutting it too much ...due to the excess lard?

    These posters are not experts and I would take a wild guess and say that most of them don't know what they are talking about, it's like the person that can use a big word in a sentence correctly, but does not know what the meaning of the word is

    It would be close to impossible to answer that question, without knowing some details about you

    height, weight, basic genetic makeup, current health status/level etc

    The average active adult human can gain or loose up to 5 or more lbs per day naturally depending on activitys

    A person sitting in an air conditioned office all day VS a person working construction results will vary

    to best find the answer to your question, you should use the decent diet you mentioned and gauge for yourself, after a few weeks you will know the answer for yourself

    and not be misguided by personal oppionions

    The most weight I ever lost in a month this past year was 14 lbs.

    Was that natural weight loss? or laxatives & lots of exercise?

    I'm pretty sure he did it by eating right and exercising.

    I weigh more than most of you fellows here. So my metabolism is a little faster. Still, no laxatives or pills involved. Caloric intake is 1600 cals per day, except on weekends where I eat what I want, sans junk or beer, and just watch the portions. I run about 4-5 days a week, was doing weights 3 x week until I switched to pushups/pullups.

    Really taking about a pound off a week is best by simple calorie reduction and exercise.

    However, if you absolutely need a crash diet, this admittedly is a bit extreme and can be risky so be forewarned, you can make this:

    Boil about 16 ounces of carrots with

    about 1 ounce cooked legumes

    about 1 ounce of celery

    about 1 ounce of cucumber

    about 1 ounce of spinach

    about 1 ounce lettuce ( dark green leaf lettuce not iceberg )

    Place the water you used to boil it in a blender with the boiled vegetables and blend all this up.

    Drink this concoction about three times a day and avoid other foods.
    You will lose weight fast but your going to crap your ass off too. You could **** through a wire screen and not hit any metal. But it will clean you out and speed up your metabolism, plus you actually get more vitamins than on the typical fastfood diet, it's just that you won't get enough calories and since there's really no fat in this, you're going to be hungry. This is a real shitty way to lose weight but it works.
