As many of you know I do crossfit exercises as part of my daily workout routine. Today was a day which called for trying to see what your three max weight routines were for Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Press, and military press. My 4 Maxes were: Squat: 275(i know I could have did more, but my legs were kind of hurting from running earlier in the day) Deadlift: 410(my highest ever. Felt like my grip was not strong enough though, so I am going to go through and research what I can do to improve my grip) Bench Press: 250(I use to be able to bench 310 in 2009, so this is actually low for me, but the most I can do now) Military Press: 185(not a bad military press really, but I also use to be able to military press 200) They were my 4 maxes, now I want to know is it possible to increase my muscular endurance without putting more muscle on? I think I am strong enough right now to compete, but I really want to increase my muscular endurance for the long haul. I need to hone a weight training regimen, while running enough to increase my stamina, and at the same time work on my boxing technique. Thoughts/tips/critiques?
Also, I was staring in the mirror and flexing(i know its weird, but we all do it) to look at my progress, and I could not help but notice my deltoids, and chest keep getting bigger, and my arms(biceps really, not so much triceps) don't seem to be getting as defined as other parts of my body. I kind of looked like I was a turtle with a shell on my back. My grandfather was built this way and maybe it is genetics? or maybe I am working my back too much?
honestly i have no clue about crossfit, id like your opinion on it, it seems to be pretty popular but ive also heard people bash it, how do you think it affects your performance boxing?
One thing I use to like about it, Is do you remember when you first started sparring/running, and you would get really worn out? Well it felt like sparring after a fight. The only thing is some workouts seem too limited or menial. I do believe it does help your stamina out, but a run or some other activity must be used to supplement the workouts.
Im really into the sandbag training these days. Lots of variations of explosive movements that will have your legs shaking in 30 mins.
"I try to run every day. I go to the boxing gym three times a week and I’ll do the basics – shadowbox, hit the bags and sometime pads. I go to a regular gym twice a week and do weight-training with a personal trainer."- Antonio Margarito on his workout routine

Are you really that ****ing dumb you're trying to say some boxers lost some matches because they lifted heavy objects? You must have done plenty of research on the subject to come to this conclusion or are you just talking **** again?
