I see some people mentioning it but I think the fact that mayweather is fighting someone smaller than him will play a major role. When you go from hitting 160ish lb fighters to someone who is 145, you notice your power is much more noticeable. Heck even I notice it when I go from a 220lb fighter to a 200lb fighter at the gym.

This needs to be taken into account more than it is. Mayweather will be the biggest and more importantly fastest fighter he's gone up against in a long time.

I agree and disagree with some things

    1. Mayweather's power will be a bit more noticeable. Pac is his smallest opponent since Hatton and he got KO'd. Everyone else rehydrated to 160+, they will have absorbed Floyd's punches better than Pac can/will.

    2. Mayweather is the fastest opponent he's gone against in a while (ever?) but not the biggest. Floyd's size is comparable to Clottey's (a Pacquiao opponent).

That's why Floyd's going to put a beating in Pac. Freddy's going to retire after this fight.

If Mayweather is able to hurt Pacquiao, everything will quickly go downhill for Pacquiao from there. Any time an aggressor is forced backwards his chances of winning or seriously competing greatly diminish. Pacquiao can fight going backwards but definitely not as good as he does going forward, which is the complete opposite of Mayweather who is better defensively than he is aggressively.

Floyd will find it harder to hit him though and get hit more in return because of the speed.

Pac is his fastest opponent in 10 years. Pac fought at least two pretty fas guys in his last 2 fights.

Of course it will be. You got a lightweight fighting a welterweight. Skills being nearly equal the bigger man beats the little man. I'm a Pacquiao fan but I don't give him more than a 30 percent chance of pulling off a victory. I think that Mayweather will likely rehydrate and come in massive like he did against Marquez and then maybe he'll be able to walk through a lot of Pacquiao's shots.

He wasn't massive against Marquez, he was no different than he usually his. He looked bigger because Marquez was smaller.

You can be much bigger and still not pack the power ROFL

As long as mayweather hits the same there is nothing to worry about may has no power NONE lol

Thats where other fighters are mistaken thinking they can go in and out muscle Pac, Almost all fighters say that but outcome is always suprisingly different.

The times I EXPECTED Pac to lose due to weight/size difference were the times I was wrong.

I believe Pac will lose- or not gain a decision- but it has to do with both of their histories, not because of weight/size.

A Lightweight?, I see the same excuse morons used in 2010 when this fight was rumored to be on is still shamelessly in tact. Pacquiao has been a Welterweight since 2009, that's 7 years of being a successful Welterweight comfortably dominating at the very top level of his respective division. If he's a "Lightweight" he would've been sparked and sent back to Lightweight like MANY others that attempted the move up in weight were.

Mayweather was never considered a massive Welterweight till this fight was signed and the many parasites that unfortunately support a great fighter like Pacquiao showed up straight out of the gutters. True massive Welterweights are fighters like De La Hoya in his prime, Paul Williams, Antonio "Hands of Plaster" Concreto, Thomas Hearns, Keith Thurman...etc. Sure, Mayweather is clearly bigger but is he a massive Welterweight in general?, hell no.
