I wear a weighted vest to sprint up hills n such, not sure if it has increased my speed when throwing a punch it gave me more wind to throw multiple punches without gassing right after tho,
Do you feel more impact in your knee's wearing it to run ? i want to get one for my runs but not sure as i dont want messed up knees
I purposely run on grass 4 the sake of my knees, I wouldnt suggest it for no more than a handful of sprints u know. I also use it to do dips & pull ups. You can live without it tbh, I got the vest as a gift but I wouldnt spend $100+ on an equipment Ill use only for a exercise or two, I too rather save my knees than push myself to the limit with one on .
Do your ab workout with it. You'll feel a burn quick. Now to your question about punching with it and being able to twist faster. I'm not sure. I know you can increase your hand speed by shawdowboxing as fast as you can and then doing round like that with small weights and then w/o weight again so maybe you can try the same with the vest
This is a much better way for giving ressitance , and gives better cordinated balance. Plus its a lot cheaper and can be used for more or less everything :goodhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6gKQrrrDIo
it just seems logical to me anyway the core no doubt has more inertia to overcome than the arms/hands, also the legs would have a slight resistance to work against too and the specificity of throwing punches is about as high as it can get, althiough i would use other methods too
where do you get straps like those, and what are they called? ive found places with like black rubber tubes but they are no where near as elastic as those things. and they're all hooked up to just one corner right? so i could use something like a basketball pole to attach them to?
you using the 41 inch bands in that video? and like what # bands are in that video? i was thinking about getting 2 pilates packages with #0 #1 and #2 bands do you think that would be good? and thanks for the tip, i tried using bike tubes a while ago didnt really work well and gave up on the idea.
Depends what weight you are and fitness. He is using Green woodys is a middle, He has the same ressitance around him 160lb as he weigths, hard work opposite shoulder to foot wherever he goes he feels his move ment if wrong. Plus he feels it if right with gravity.
im 185 and alittle fit so i might get some heavier ones and just go with the pair packages. i dont get the above statement? are the straps attached from shoulder to foot too? i cant watch youtube at work and i watched the vid before i left for work so i probly just have to watch it again. ahhhhh i see now, what do you use around his waist thats attached to the corner? woody bands still or something else??
