Perhaps because Ray Narh who Freddie Norwood is fighting tonight had fought and beat Kaizer Mabuza by 2nd round KO several years ago. Kaizer Mabuza had recently beat Kendall Holt and is fighting Zab Judah tomorrow for a belt.

This is indeed a great evenly matched fight! Two former amateur greats, one from Cuba and the other from Russia with over 600+ combined amateurs bouts! Even though Syllakh is taller, younger and with more reach than Despaigne I expect the Cuban to beat him. Despaigne has better allround technique and has better amateur experience at the World Level. Look for Yordenis to beat him on points or possibly by late TKO! This fight will elevate Despaigne's pro career quick!

Yeah, whoever come out the winner here will have their career elevated and will start to receive some serious attention. I think this is going to be a very technical fight.
