I'm gobsmacked by that, I really didnt think Toney would make cruiserweight. I could see by the pictures he was maybe close but I thought he'd maybe be slightly over 200 pounds still. Damn...some weight loss, wasnt he 257 in his last fight?

Even if terribly disappointed, I'd like nothing more than to believe that. :sad2

Let's hope making the weight hasn't ruined him like it did Byrd and Jones Jr and that his poor performances of late have been down to excess weight and not due to being old and shot.

Toney has done very well to make the weight but that's only half the battle he needs to prove he is still relevant by performing well.

I'm hoping b/c it was straight fat he won't suffer like Roy did.

Fortunately for Toney, unlike Roy and Byrd, he's only cutting excess fat.

He hasn't been that light in nearly a decade. Whatever happens in the fight, good to see the man rededicate himself. WAR Toney 'til the end.

He will have lost muscle as well. When losing weight you don't just lose fat there will be loss of muscle as well, how much muscle depends on how he lost the weight but considering the amount he has lost and the short time he has done it in he must have lost quite a bit of muscle as well, unless he was taking steroids at the same time to minimise catabolism.

True that he lost it in a very short amount of time, could spell trouble for him.
