Toney is there for the paycheck. He'll take a beating and leave with a million bux. This is a guy who only
a few months ago was desperate enough to try and set up another MMA fight, this time with Ken Shamrock.

So the Russians, looking for a faded big American name for Lebedev to beat up, came a calling with loads of cash.

Enough for Toney to lose 58 pounds to get.

yup. this is what i was trying to write earlier in the thread. these DL vs oldtimers must be making $ over there n toney's looking to get a taste. U know he needs $$ for him to accomplish this weight loss when he could've made a **** load of more money over the past 5-10 years if he kept himself around 220 or so and couldn't do it. Sure hope the shamrock fight ain't off though.

    This.

I will not be betting as i don't know how he will be after losing the weight. I think he could very well shock a few people tomorrow night though.

Toney is a flabby, weak 199. He's getting stopped in the USSR.

Might even be an early stoppage -- Lebedev's manager says they are out to prove a point in this one. That's not good news for Toney.

Why are you so eager to convince that Toney is going to get destroyed. Almost like you take joy in seeing an old legend get humiliated. Just save it you pathetic piece of ****

If Toney wins, it's one of the most improbable wins in boxing history, so I'll have to congratulate him.

But he's also been an obscene loudmouth and a braggart for a long time now without really backing it up, so if he loses, sure, there is some satisfaction in seeing him get his comeuppance. Schadenfreude for sure.

I'm almost tempted to take the odds for a small amount. Just enough to wet my beak..............

I don't know if I should give Toney credit for finally getting in shape, or if I should be pissed at him because he hasn't done it some 5-6 years ago, when it really mattered...
At 43 years, I fear it's too little too late for James.. Though I hope he has one last great fight in him and beats some ass in Moscow. War Toney!

200 on Toney to win (odds were too good not to try it)

    10 on the draw

100 on the under, just in case Toney can't go the distance and quits.
