Deontay Wilder weighed in at a lanky looking 216lbs in his last fight Vs Ortiz while today Joshua weighed in for his defence Vs Parker at a powerful looking 242lbs.

That’s Joshuas lightest weight since early 2014 and by popular opinion is probably his best weight. It gives him that extra speed and mobility while retaining his imposing size however most crucially it will improve his stamina and energy levels immensely.

Based on their respective weights, when these two eventually meet Wilder would still be giving away over 2st to Joshua, could Wilder live with that sort of weight and power disadvantage to a faster more athletic Joshua?

I don’t think Wilder would have anything more than a punchers chance Vs the 254lb Joshua but against the lighter 242lb version even that’s a stretch. Joshua can go to work with combos and power punches without the worry of stamina issues.

Joshua by KO inside 4 rounds

I agree. Joshua at 242 lb would prob win the fight quite easily. Would be surprised if Windmill can win a single round.

Lmao, a sub-220lb Wilder would be RAPID in the ring against Joshua. He would move effortlessly out of the way of punches while the big bodybuilder blows a gasket after three rounds. Doesn’t matter what the weight difference is, Wilder’s BOMBS are more powerful than Joshua’s and would put his lights out. Joshua will be seriously hurt.

Wilder has proved time and time again you can be 240+, just like Floyd always fought bigger guys. /shrug most say Wilder hit harder how is a 220lb fighter do more damage than a 240+

Wilder doesn't gass in the late rnds.if AJ can't steam roller him early it will get risky for Josh.

In the two fights where Joshua has been gassed at some point, it’s been because he’s punched himself out in the previous round looking to KO his opponent and not because the fights gone into the late rounds.

Even when gassed he’s taken the best shots from Wlad Klitschko and Whyte and come back to knock both out 11th v WK and 7th v Whyte thus proving he still has KO power in the late rounds. Coming in at 242lbs will hugely alleviate the propensity to punch himself out so I don’t see Wilder jumping all over a tired Joshua at any point. However Joshua having more stamina and not tiring is bad bad news for Wilder, Joshua won’t let his left drop as he did Vs WK meaning Wilder will struggle to land his Hail Mary shot.
