Weird ENDING of Humberto "La Zorrita" Soto Vs Motoki Sasaki FIGHT

    I dont believe I've ever seen a fight go to the cards after an injury that ruled the other fighter had nothing to do with.

    For example, Sharmba Mitchell in his first fight with Tszyu hurt his knee and had to quit.
    That fight was'nt ruled to have to go to the cards because Mitchell suffered and injury that prevented him from continueing.

    Can somebody here name a fight that went to the cards over an injury the opponent had nothing to do with?

    another example is sweet pea's last fight. he threw his shoulder out and had to quit.

    they may have also elected to call the fight because the ring was no longer in a condition to continue.

    like a football field with too much ice or a baseball field with too much water after a rainout. after five complete innings, a game can be cancelled and the final completed inning is the final score. anything before five innings will have to be replayed.

    in football, if a game is cancelled it is never considered a completed game. dont remember the college game but it is said that the lights went out(and never to be turned back on) because a gambler was going to be taking a huge loss and had someone shut off the lights.

    WBC lightweight world champion Humberto Soto (56-7-2, 32 KOs) won a ten round technical decision over #11 rated challenger Motoki Sasaki (36-9, 23 KOs) on Saturday night at the Parque Andres Quintana Roo in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Soto dropped Sasaki in round five and was far ahead of the scorecard when he slipped on a wet ring floor and suffered a leg injury. Scores were 100-88, 99-89, 99-89. Soto made the fourth defense of his lightweight title.

    Roberto Duran hurt his rotator cuff against journeyman Pat Lawlor and could'nt continue. Pat Lawlor got his hands raised and has a victory over Duran.

    Vitali Klitchko was dominating Chris Byrd hurt his rotator cuff that resulted in him not continueing very late in their fight.
    Chris Byrd who had gotten dominated got his hand raised that night.

    Agreed.......but that was'nt the reason given to send the fight to the cards.:think

    most headbutt cuts are not intentional either, but they still go to the cards...


    i believe the right thing ended up happening, but it is weird how the ref ruled it a slip, then went to the cards

    So it's not fair to Sasaki to say "that ****ER kneed Soto". He has no intention to knee Soto. He just want to take Soto's head off. :lol:

    this is bull****!

    they rob that fighter of another round! The rules seriously has to change, I don't care if soto was winning or heading the scorecards but that jap guy was trying his best out there

    The truth is joking aside... Soto was about to get ko'ed by a d level fighter and like cintron he found a way out... the d level bum saw Soto ready to go eith wobbly legs and trying to hug which is why he tried to Superman punch him. Somewhere aztecas is crying.
