Has anyone noticed, in the first round of Ellis-Frazier I, that the ref is moving around a LOT? Not just in his usual, active way, but actually jumping and running around the ring? Did he make a bet? Miss his morning run? Want to set the record for most distracting referee? I guess we'll never know. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04Ft84Qm_Y8[/ame] What other strange things have you noticed in fights that you have no explanation for?
Jung Koo Chang vs sot Chitalata 1 referee goes over his ankle and cant stand up and calls a time out as he limps around walking off his injury
Guy that walsk into the ring at the beginning of Zarate-Zamora and is promptly beaten and dragged from the ring by the Police :rofl Dempsey thinking he'd won against Willard in the first and leaving the ring.
The between rounds brawl early in the rematch between Mike Rossman's brother (a second) and Victor Galindez's handlers, with distracted Mike and prompted him to rush over to intervene as he was on his way to his corner. It probably didn't do Mike's concentration and focus on his own battle that night any good.
Joe Cortez. Whenever I edit fights onto disc I always put a chapter mark at the start of every round. And everytime its Cortez hes there in the middle of the ring acting like hes holding back the Red Sea so Moses can cross.
Oddly enough, Moses parted the Red Sea.. You can't part Cortez with an editing machine!!! See, you aint a biblical charactor.. :good
I like Herbie Hide's response to the doctor at the end of round 4: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coRRTTKhxlw[/ame] Also, did he get knocked out by a missed punch? Replay at 8:30.
yes, i see what you mean, how distracting! A good fight and i found myself watching the referee. Even when he was off screen I was waiting for him to come flying across with that sort of hop, skip and running all at the same time routine. I'm gonna look up some more of his fights.
