We can all agree that IBF World Heavyweigt Champion, Anthony Joshua's best win is vs Dillian Whyte. What I was surprised about was that Sky Sports Boxing ranked Whyte as the 7th best HW in the UK behind: Tyson Fury, Haye, Joshua, Hughie Fury, David Price and Chisora. I don't disagree based on results. Whyte has beat nobody of note. But I am surprised that to an extent, Sky have thrown Joshua under the bus by saying our 'world champ's best win is vs the 7th best national level fighter in his division. Thoughts?
Its probably correct but mainly based upon that while we have good strong top 8 heavyweights in the UK there is nobody of note coming through outside that
Based on head 2 head he probably should rank higher, on resume it's totally correct. I don't know who #8 is, but I figure probably Allen? Then there's a huge gap towards padded record Cornish in skillevel behind that.
I guess they thought 6 months have passed, everyone has forgotten about the £16.95 they paid, Joshua has since become world champion, who cares about how much the fight was over-hyped at the time...
Whyte schlongs Price, Hughie and Chisora right now. No doubt about that in my mind. He should be ranked 4th. You could make an argument for Hughie to be above him, but I would not buy that sh5t
