I would like to see Margarito fight Williams - but I expect to see a Cotto rematch. I agree with you guys who are wanting to see Margarito in the money fights. He deserves it. But guys like Mayweather and Oscar will sidestep him if possible, and can you blame them? Why the **** would you come out of retirment to fight that if you were Mayweather? I why would you stalk a beating like that if you were Oscar?

My thoughts exactly. Instant rematch is out of the question.

Cotto should build his way up again, he is going to need to improve from that performance to win, which won't be easy, he looked great early on, fast crisp combination punching that was better than anything we have seen from him before.

Margarito is in no way a match to smaller Cotto. Nothing Cotto could have done to change the outcome. His power aint done anything with Margo's chin. Margo will win 10 out of 10 fights with Cotto.

OMG I would love to watch a Margarito-Mayorga fight. Imagine the fireworks that would unleash in that fight. Non-stop action throughout. Margo will win by KO though probably in the 5th or 6th round. But it will be damn great while it lasts. Anybody agree?

Although legacy-wise, I think its better to fight SSM instead(even though he's old). It would still be a great win. I would also like a Judah-Margarito bout if only for the hope that Zab might redeem himself and be the man at WW again. Although that's most likely not gonna happen as Margo would likely brutalize Judah worse than Cotto did. But hey a fan can hope.:D

What's the bets that if Cotto had knocked Marg out in the 11th, you would be in here posting dumb **** like Margaritos Glass Chin.

Cotto doesn't have a glass chin or even a suspect chin. You really gat to connect very hard on his to have him wobbling, taking a knee or even shut his lights out. Anybody can go down and that is what people know deep down but don't realize before it happens... Now, Tony always deserved great fights and now more than ever. Happens that we all know that some "elite" fighters know about the risk and a possible reward in a fight against this individual in particular. My take is that Mayweather is not gonna take another Hatton kinda fight with a guy who's 5'' taller and stronger than Hatton and it has nothing to do with show business, the other guy not speaking english, promos or finantial plateaus... Hoya is not gonna take a big welter after having faced a natural light-welter, former LWT champion and that has nothing to do with the other guy being mexican b'cause ODLH is not even mexican to start with, at most he's a west coaster with mexican roots and may have rivalries with guys like Fernando Vargas or Sergio Mora... Margo should compete with the best, strongest WWs and LMWs out there in the near future - Paul Williams, winner of Clottey-Judah, Shane Mosley, Andre Berto, Miguel Cotto, Daniel Santos, Vernon Forrest, Serguei Dzinziruk, Alex Bunema, Verno Phillips and so on.

I agree Dorf. The PPV numbers will come so long as he faces proven, legitimate threats.

The results may have been impressive but Margarito took a long time to let his hands go, and didn't let them go enough overall. It could have been over sooner. Margarito is extremely fortunate he wasn't facing a more durable foe on Saturday night.

I don't think your giving Margarito his due.

Margarito knew exactly what he was doing from the opening bell. Trapping his foe on the ropes and then throwing in uppercuts through the guard. This was his gameplan and it won him the fight.

I'm very happy for Antonio. Finally he got his changed, and he brutalised Miguel Cotto. Props to Miguel also.

By the looks of the last fight Cotto can only beat Margo on points, if he can do that. He's never going to knock him out. Margo was simply to big, chased Cotto down, and beat him down.
