I feel he's an extremely entertaining fighter, like, people wanna hate all day cause of his shitty technique, skills, all that junk, and hell yeah it's true, objectively he's awful, his technique is bad, he's a slap in the face to the sweet science. But I mean you've got the ultimate underdog tale here of the real life One Punch Man, the dude is making millions off literally being able to survive long enough to land with one right hand. He's far from the GOAT, he's not even the best active heavyweight, having clearly lost to Fury, but if you want entertainment it's literally guaranteed at a Wilder fight, and people gotta appreciate it
I love Wilder man, the excitement, the power. He's incredible to watch just incredible. HOF first ballot headline inductee.
He needs a little more. He is impressive, but look at the guys he has beaten. Not exactly great fighters. He needs to beat and knockout Fury and Joshua or Ruiz to be HOF worthy.
43-0-1 against very good fighters. 10 defenses of the HW title. The man is first ballot no matter what people say. He's done way more than enough at this point.
If he were beaten up in his next fight and retired. Without the hype of what just happened would you still say the same? Without emotions does he deserve to be in the Hall? In this era and at heavyweight?
Of course. If guys like Kostya Tszyu (Who is way overrated), Gatti, and MANY others can get in. Wilder will get in.
People are talking about this! That kind of KO is good for boxing. Excitement is the name of the game. Unlike Tyson's power which seemed to dissipate as rounds goes on, Wilder's remains. Shavers tended to throw sloppily as rounds wore on vs Holmes, Ali, Cobb, Quarry, Lyle. Tua tended to lapse in desire as rounds wore on even though his power was always frightening. Foreman's power remained but his flatfooted big belly style kept him in harm's way to be outboxed and unable to land the one bomb, if his foe was swift afoot. Wilder will be welcomed to Canastota with open arms.
Stiverne twice, now Ortiz. What a legend in an era chalk-full of bad asses. A god among mortals. Now if only he would win the heavyweight championship and beat the best class has to offer.
Pfff He's not even top 5 currently. Or even top 10. You want legacy go prove you can beat these guys. Losing to Fury and beating and old man tells us nothing. Its OK saying he would do this or that, ****ing prove it. He's fought absolutely no one of any note. Bum
look at the guys those guys fought. Like it or not who has Wilder fought? Don't go overboard. To get the Hall of Fame?
