Yeah, a lot of people always say the same **** about Pac "he's predictable, left hand happy, all you have to do is draw it and counter with a right etc etc, use your footwork. Then you realize that pretty much no sparring partner or gameplans really give you an accurate prediction of what this looks like face to face(cool video) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTd1u4p9ig0&[/ame]
He's a prominent muslim of Pa^istani decent.Obviously it's not the case with everybody, but it would be silly to ignore.

he did threaten to leave the gb team to fight for ****stan...which crowbarred him back into the olympics. good on him to be honest. he got flack because he wasn't fighting the domestic scene. all the guys there where beatable by thaxton. he didnt go for the lonsdale. was fighting guys nobody had heard of..and we only know about them now because they fought him. also he wasnt fighting euro level fighters either...didnt go euro route either. just fought average competition till a world title would eventually come his way. him being muslim or non anglo ethnicity wasnt the case only the less than 1%. danny williams, jawaid khaliq, takaloo, lennox lewis, chris eubank, nigel benn, michael ayers etc etc etc. (MUCH longer list) had/have massive fan bases. when he said he should be more enjoyed by the public and that british boxing fans don't like successful muslims it just ripped all the remaining fans he had.. there was a reason everyone rejoiced and literally rolled on floor laughing.

You're talking about real boxing fans here - the vast majority of them probably don't give a sh^t about Khan's religion or ethnicity. Khan is known to a very wide audience - the vast majority of whom are either not aware or don't care about the domestic boxers that Khan was supposedly ducking. You only have to see the reaction to his loss to Prescott three years ago to see there resentment towards him.And much of it was race/religion-related.
I think the main thing is the way it was laid out for him. When they wheeled out Barrera for him...that's just a travesty. Get your head kicked in by Prescott and then dig up a deluded fat shot great for your resume. Meanwhile, Prescott after the win is given hard awkward fights. He won a fight on DQ after being bitten, I do believe. I don't think his being ****stani is anything to do with it, at all. Maybe a tiny minority.
