I too dont quite see what a lot of people here are claiming that Margarito proved. This was a one sided beatdown that became so bad Pac actually started carrying Margarito towards the end.

Margarito def showed some positives this fight, mainly his courage, his guts, his toughness, and his heart.

But this 'the best Margarito ive ever seen' stuff is weird. He was dominated in almost every aspect of the fight, yes he had a couple rounds in which he had a good moment or so, but really.... Margarito didnt look good in the fight, Pac carved him up good, and I dont think Marg really proved anything other then hes one of the toughest SOB's in boxing last night and showed an amazing heart. I really dont think many fighters would have kept coming in the face of such an absurd beating. And in all honesty, hats off to Pac for easing up on Marg..... I think he could have really, really hurt Marg if he had turned it up, instead of easing off. I think Marg was ready to go and it showed a lot from Pac to ease off.

Respect to Marg though for such courage and toughness.

    Just IMO.

Yea I think so too. The hard shots Pacquiao took from Margarito would of taken down lesser men. Margarito at least was competitive for the first 3 rounds.

What happened to the once the chin has been cracked, its cracked theory.

Margo displayed the same punch resistance he's always had.

Sorry but I saw the opposite, Margo did have a few good shots but didn't have much effect.. especially considering he was fighting a smaller man

Also its not about size its about ability and Pacquiao has so much more, Enough Power, lots of movement, angles, and he's fast....

Margo is slow, bigger, great chin and heart.

What happened last night is what would have happened when a shorter and smaller guy with a greater ability fight a much larger slower with less ability.

Pacquiao took some good body shots that would have dropped anyone lesser then him like cintron. 2 Huge body shots to the ribs... and pac just kept going.. Good win for Pac and definitely earns him more praise then a clottey fight.

I think he proved that he probably really did beat down Cotto/cinton without loaded wraps

Margarito is durable. He's one of those Mexican fighters that can last and then do his best later in the fight while the other guy is gassing and fatigued. If Mayweather wasn't getting sent back to the plantation (prison), I'd like to see Margarito vs Chicken Lips.
