I wouldn't disagree with that, round 5 maybe could be debated

As Gary stated before the fight, he went in with 13 outings behind him; Napa was a former star amateur who turned pro in 1998. All in all, Davies can only learn from this and come back better and stronger. I rate Davies and his power.

Keep the post flowin lads... the more the merrier...

I think that Gary Davies will defo come again...in fact he should win a re-match if he goes at Napa early doors...I think that choosing to box him the way he did backfired a little...next time it will be different...:yep

33yrs and were still here....unlike you brainwashed Red toerags...

From the rounds Sky showed I thought Napa won a fairly clear decision, if Davies was doing much better in the rounds that weren't shown then ive got to imagine Napa must take lots of rounds off as the ones he was winning looked very comfortable

i was more impressed by napas front-footwork he has always been a roper stay there and just counter but last night he was right under his mans guard. like jeffro said gary's boxing was kinda effective but was wasting too much energy and lack or urgency which made napa nick the rounds which were close i feel. and when davies started to steam foreward he didnt do it economically just started throw shots from his boots...pointless against a guy who can take a punch due to chin and defence, making gary open for all kinds of counters, the last 3 rounds could of been a turkey shoot or a tko (bit much but he started to get rocked a bit) if napa had forced it a bit more.

staying on the outside throwing loads of punches has been the way i feel to beat napa. the french guy he lost it to wasnt a great boxer and had pretty average technique but he just stayed on the oustide and jabbed till his jabbing hand dropped off.

Thats a good point Jeff and Napa should give Davies another crack as it will be a different tale in a re-match... although the last person that Napa would want to fight right now is Davies.... unless there is a clause for them to go again?...:think

From the rounds I saw on TV think Napa nicked it - but obviously I dont know what happened in the other rounds. What I will say though is Davies showed proper heart (especially after the 11th) 100% respect to him for that, he'll come again.

This is true. I am only basing it of what we saw.

JT says he gives Davies the first 5 rounds. I think they showed round 1 then jumped to round 5 so I may have missed 3 rounds which Davies apparently won.

I thought Napa was too good for him this point in time in his career , Davies can deffinetly win a British title back though.
