Credit were it's due!! he overcame some seriously shakey moments there and found a way to win so he deserves big credit. I think they'll slow this big rushing process with him now too. I hope they do cos he could be a really good fighter but he needs time to mature and really find his feet as he didn't have a very long senior amateur career. Once again though tonight he come through and for that he deserves big plaudits ;-)

Warren and DeGale will be licking there lips now.... expect the fight to happen early in the new year! (assuming DeGale can beat Smith of course which is no walk in the park for sure)

I still have Groves beating DeGale regardless...

I'd like to see DeGale against Anderson, that would be interesting.

I thought Groves was gone completely after he got smashed against the ropes after the knockdown by Anderson, but massive credit to him pulling off the victory. Great match-up, great fight.

I'm happy because I like George Groves and hope he does well. Also I had 4/1 that he got knocked down in the fight :)

I think nearly everyone thought he was done after 3 or 4 rounds. Anderson was hunting him down and landing some heavy heavy shots but Groves overcame it and ended the fight impressively.

Looked like the body shots that did the trick and got him out of trouble. Needs massive work on the defence though, relying on his reflexes like that was stupid!

Great, entertaining fight that will benefit Groves no-end. Only good thing about the whole Haye-Harrison debacle, and this was a last minute inclusion!

Groves proved he has a bit of bottle about him. As well as some class punching at times.

He also highlighted he needs a lot of work on his defence and perhaps being so heavily reflex based isn't a good look for him. He's not got the reflexes of David Haye or the same devastating power to stop certain fighters putting pressure on him. Even Haye with that style struggled against the Mormeck's and Fragomeni's, if we forecast Groves' future in that class its not a good look at all. So perhaps some tightening up and more conventional boxing is in order.

Kenny impressed me as much, good fight and props to Groves for surviving that onslaught followed by the victory.

At times groves can look class, he will learn from this fight, he showed a massive heart but should use his world class jab more and learn not to get into a tear up with a tough scotsman! credit to both fighters who fought a great fight at 2 weeks notice.
