i got a chanc e to speak to him after the fight,he just found out that night his grandad had passed away aswell.

i think hes def going to be in with a shout at the british title next year.eammon mcgee (i think) is fighting another scotsman called stevie mcguire for the belt next month.im sure he will be in the frame for the winner or maybe second defense, you never know.

was he that commonwealth games light-heavy?

yeah i was looking foreward to watch him every time he came out. nice exciting style coupled with a good jab and decent ring general skills.

i remember him getting interviewed after all of it. he got told "are you going to go pro"? a ton of answers including the words beijing, money, trainer, work, finishing with no, no, no, no,no, no....well maybe.

thing is that he could of stayed in at the amatuers becuase he hasnt done anything of note in the pros. he could of gone to Beijing and lost in th efirst round or so and still got a big more exposure. anyways hastings is a REALLY good test. tough, dangerous just but a bit chinny.

brit title very soon i hope

think he was middleweight mate.he has only had about 9 fights so is still coming out of his infancy in the pro ranks.

yeagh the fight was at a higher weight for some reason.maybe just one of those things were they want to see how he can go at the higher weight.

He's far to small to fight at cruiser weight, mind still stopped the lad so proves he really does have a decent dig on him.

well that is testiment on its own.but i dont think it will be a long term plan for him to fight at that weight.i dont think to fight at a higher weight early on your career does any harm and can help a fighter's punching power later on in there career.
