Well done Ricky Burns

Scotlands not had many big performances at the world stage but you can put Burns up there with Benny Lynch,Jackie Patterson,Walter McGowan,Ken Buchanan,Jim Watt& Scott Harrison.i would say Burns performances have bettered what Watt and Harrison both achieved

 

Well done to Ricky and Billy, It's time for Frank to let Burns off the leash now.

I thought he was in for a much tougher night,but I learned long ago never to doubt him.
Wish I hadn't put a nifty on the decision though.

Incredible performance to stop Mitchell so early. Everyone has their opinions but I think the job Nelson and ****** have done getting Burns to this point is pretty incredible.

 

Was disappointed and made up at the same time.

Thought Mitchell was gonna go on and do great things, but Burns is such a good guy and showed maturity and skill, that world title has been the making of him. Well done to him and Billy, a champ thats a credit to the sport, a rare commodity these days

 

Its debatable that's Ricky's best win let alone Scotland's finest. Katsidis, Moses and Martinez were higher quality operators than Mitchell in all honesty. Yes the knockout was good but Mitchell hasn't really come close to winning a world title unlike Moses and Martinez.

I agree though, fair play Ricky and Billy

 

I think the version of Katsidis that Ricky beat would still murder Mitchell. Kevin just isn't good enough.

 

What a performance by Burns, happy memories from last nigth ! He really went to town and i think he was surprised by how hard he hits...
