Mitchell Vs Coyle is a mismatch.

I like Tommy, but i think his inexperience would be exposed against Mitchell as it was against Matthews. Having said this, Coyle would fight fire with fire, and i don't think Mitchell is as tough as some like to make out.
Mitchells career is all peaks and troughs, and you can only go to the well so many times. I think Katsidis and Burns took something away from Kevin.

I've never seen someone get up from that many body shots.

I don't actually think Mitchell is any better now than he was when he fought Katsidis and Burns. They were just better opponents than his recent ones. But just as its been mentioned that Curtis fought the fight of his life last night,Kevins was possibly the Prescott fight.Maybe one in a career.Everything comes off.But I do believe he is AT his best.I just hope the people behind Coyle advise him to wait a while,be active and beat some easier guys.As I mentioned,he's a bit younger than Kevin.Of course he'd take the fight, but why should he be a sacrificial lamb on the way to another title shot for him?

Really good post regarding Tommy taking his time. He is 24 and has bags of potential, rushing him in with Mitchell is not really needed at this stage. I actually don't think the Mitchell fight will happen, as Tommy said in the ifltv interview afterwards, if he beats Mitchell he is not ready for a world title shot.

I agree with this to an extent.By the same token this one could have taken something from Coyle, although possibly only temporarily. What Im getting at is I think it would be folly to throw him in with Kevin in say,June or July,in his next fight.Im guessing he will need a bit of a rest now, then a couple of bouts in the Summer Autumn possibly.Kevin not being one of them.

Incredible fight ...incredible courage by both, particularly the much smaller away fighter.
    Deffo rematch here!
