Not entirely happy with it, but I don't think I could do much better without a lot more time. I made this for completeness as I think all the important Champions should have some sort of tribute to them, where it is possible anyway, and if no one else is going to give it a go. . . .

Good job IMO he is both over and underrated but mostly underrated.....he was plucked out as a potential great white hope for his size and strength though he seemed to have decent punching skills and big power

Good video. I definitely think Willard would beat Primo Carnera

Don't think I ever seen any other Willard tribute so I've nothing to compare it to, but I did enjoy that.

Willard cops a lot of stick but at the end of the day ,he made it to the had highest spot in boxing. And against Dempsey ,he didn't lay down and give up the belt easily .

Willard is the most underrated heavyweight champion of them all by far .. start with the fact the did not ever lace a set of gloves till his late 20's. He had terrific size. He was very strong. He had terrific stamina. He had very good power. In his films he throws straight, sharp punches. Of course he looks a bit clumsy but pretty much all of these huge guys do. I am not saying he was a great fighter as he came in too late, did not receive enough proper training and admittedly lacked the buring desire being in it only as a mercenary but he was by no means the oaf so many refer to him as .. he had tremendous potential.

The Dempsey fight also destroys his legacy when it is very misleading. He was 37, highly inactive against a terrific talent at his physical best. Under a different set of rules , with out Dempsey being able to stand over him like that, it still could have gone another way .. such is life ..

Thanks very much for taking the trouble.I enjoyed it and Willard looks faster than some thought ,of course the camera speed is deceptive but he moved pretty well for a big man. The right hand that dropped Johnson was a beautiful shot.I can't see any basis for a dive there ,it was a genuine ko..

Good video. His footwork actually looks much better in 1915 against Johnson than in 1919. Could be because he was much younger and in better shape.

    I think Willard beats carnera
