    James Degale such an enigma

Looks like the best boxer on the planet for the first 4-5 rounds then seems to lose concentration and sails the last 7 - is it concentration or is he gassed?

Next few fights are going to be interesting. Gonna be FORCED to up his game

Dismal performance. Hes gotten way too lazy and inactive in the ring for my liking.

I just don't see the hype tbh. Even first few rounds he wasn't dominating. I scored that a draw. He clearly gasses after 7

He's definitely overrated. He spends way too much time posturing and doing nothing.

You must be able to see the talent and the skills. It's strange though - can see why groves beat him and how others can beat him in the future. Going to be interesting to see how he develops the next 2-3 fights, could go either way

He's either not as good as he thinks he is, or he fights up or down to his opponent's level. Froch would have steamrolled through that guy tonight.

He's got skills don't get me wrong bit there in patches and not consistent. Very overrated fighter. I think smith, jack, groves and ramirez all give him hell and possibly beat him

He doesn't have the stamina to be a true elite like a Calzaghe or a Ward.

You need the skills and the tank. He lacks the tank. When somebody takes him into deep waters Degale is in trouble.

Still beats jack. Jacks been unconvincing in his last three fights:

    Bute - MD
    Groves - SD
    Dirrell - MD

He was poor. Lots to work on - not impressed by Degale at all last night.

I like Degale but I've never believed all this cr*p about how improved he's been post-op. He'd have beat Medina in a boring fight at any point in his career, just like he did last night. Groves obviously has the Indian sign over him so he needs to avoid that rematch.

With a guy like medina it's easy to get complacent and think you are better than him.

I think this was just degale being s bit lazy due to him overlooking this guy.

It's no big deal but he does need to focus more on future fights.

I've never really understood they hype with Degale. He only fights for the opening four/five rounds and even then often looks lazy in his approach.

His biggest problem is that he's always been under the impression he's a lot more gifted than he actually is.

It looks to me like he is worried about gassing and takes a few rounds off, which lets his opponent into the fight and swings the momentum. He needs to either work his ass off when doing cardio or trust what he already has and stop letting his opponent back into the fight. One of these days he is gona get dropped late and his early lead won't be there to save him.

I rate him as a fighter but he is very beatable on current form. I expect him to beat Jack but he needs to stop messing about.
