    Here is his complete bio:

    Sergey Kalchugin was born on November 3, 1987 in Serpukhov, Moscow Region. Actively engaged in boxing began at the age of thirteen, when the mother took him to the local section. Trained at the Serpukhov Academy of Boxing Olympus, later trained in the sports school of the Olympic reserve for martial arts of the Moscow City Physical Culture and Sports Association Moskomsport, was wards honored coach of Russia Alexei Mikhailovich Galeeva.

    He first announced himself in 2006, winning the Stanislav Sorokin Memorial in Noginsk and the World Junior Championships in Morocco.

    In 2007 he received bronze at the Moscow Championship and won a silver medal at the Valeri Popenchenko Memorial in Moscow - in the final decisive match he conceded to Roman Romanchuk. At the same time at the Russian championship in Yakutsk already at a preliminary stage was stopped by Evgeny Romanov.

    In 2008 he won the Moscow championship, reached the quarterfinals at the national championship in Kaliningrad, lost to the future Olympic champion Egor Mehontsev, won the international tournament "Strandzha" in Bulgaria.

    At the 2009 Russian Championship in Rostov-on-Don, Kalchugin was first among the winners, reached the semi-finals and took bronze. In addition, he won a bronze medal at the Governor's Cup in St. Petersburg, having suffered a defeat in the semifinal from Ukrainian Denis Poyazyka. He received silver at the international tournament "Ahmet Kommert" in Istanbul, where in the finals he was defeated by the titled Cuban Osmai Acosta(Who he beat years later by 4:2 scoreline).

    In 2010, he became the bronze medalist of the Russian championship in St. Petersburg, took first place at Strandzha, having won the final of the local Bulgarian boxer Tervela Pulyova.

    Starting from the 2011/12 season regularly participated in the match meetings of the newly formed semiprofessional WSB league, in particular, the match with the Italian team was boxing with the famous Italian heavyweight Clemente Russo, losing to him on points. I went to the ring against the teams of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Algeria, etc.

    At the Russian Championship in 2013 in Khabarovsk reached the finals and won a silver medal, having suffered a single defeat from Alexei Egorov.
