A well prepared Mitchell decimates Burns.

Wind yer neck in Bill:lol: I wasnt saying that. Plenty of good english posters here, I was just talking about the fact we do have a bit of sporting rivalry, & I think thats how a few posters were eagerly giving Burns no chance. Not saying Im right or wrong, just my opinion:deal

No way I was saying every english poster who picked Katsidis done so because of 'hatred':nono Katsidis can bang with the best of 'em, even though I picked Burns, wouldnt have been shocked if Kat had won, cos hes world class at what he does, but styles make fights as we all know & Ricky had the style to nullify Kats main strength. Hope I cleared that up a bit!

I can agree there Billy, but i will say that mitchell is a formidable opponent for any fighter when he,s focused, i suspect your fishing for a defence down the line, he is though a bit easier option than Rios, i would be less critical of his team, ive a feeling between gym sesions is when Mitchel has trouble focusing, A trainer cannot always live with his fighter, im sure you will agree and know, that the best prep in the world cannot make a distracted fighter 100%:good

How would a poorly prepared Burns do against a partially prepared Mitchell?

Its not a fact though, is it? Boxing is littered with instances of special fighters being beaten by lower level opposition...Laing - Duran, Kalambay - Buzzeti, Napoles - Perez

It tends to happen later in their careers though.

Wonder how a well prepared Kevin Mitchell with Kevin Rooney in his corner would do?

 Only a bit of banter mate. ;)
In fairness there probably were some posters that picked Burns to lose because he's Scottish or a certain Mr Nelson may have wound them up.
As I said before I thought the run of fights that Burns had previous to Katsidis would work against him, add the jump up in weight, the fact he had never fought at Katsidis's level before, I just didn't see him winning but fair play to the lad.
He proved me and a fair few others wrong. :good
