I was always convinced that Burns would beat Katsidis especially after talking to my mate he sold me that Burns was going to win on points and I made a nice wee sum on the fight but I was more chuffed for Ricky.
And Katsidis did some good work but I thought Ricky looked very comfortable in there so those guys saying "oh ricky only just shaded it" I must have watched a different fight from those guys
I was at the fight and Ricky totally bossed it, yes he felt it afterwards and I would fully expect him to cos Katsidis was never going to stop coming forward unless he was stopped. Burns worked the body and whenever he got caught on the ropes simply spun off and got back on the jab, back on the four punch combos and went downstairs and believe me Katsidis felt them body shots, Ricky hits harder than his record suggests.
Here are the official results. Burns stoppage: 3 Burns pts: 49 Katdsidis tko/ko: 141 Katsidis points: 6 http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=354617 The first page is hilarious "Katsidis TKO within 6." "Katsidis crushes Burns inside 5" "Katsidis by murderous ****" etc etc...so no, not quite..but quite ****ing close
Murrays a good fighter when you fight his fight, & a weight drained shell in Rios fought Murrays fight, & gave him one helluva skelping. Murrays power that had Mitchell on ***** street a couple of times had zero effect on the drained version of Rios, which makes me come to the conclusion that Rios is a ****in monster:deal Rios is made from different stuff from the average man... he would be Mitchells worst nightmare if they fought:scaredas:
Well prepared Kevin Mitchell? Kind of reminds me of a few fighters you hear a lot about such as: motivated Hamed Tokyo Douglas Cement Margarito cruiserweight Haye pre Margarito Cotto pre welterweight Floyd roided up Pacquiao 90's Tyson fully focused and fit Tyson Fury
pffff, 1 in 4 sounds nice in small reference, but 1 in 3 is 33-100, so how is that in any way helping the point that people were in the majory in thinking burns would get destroyed by katsidis?
Billy England has had more world champions in the last 15 years than Scotland has had in their history. But the situation today proves the old adage 'form is temporary class is permanent' Typical Scot, as soon as you are in front in anything, sing loud and do it quickly because it won't last.
I'm not trying to push any angle. You tried to go over the top making out that hardly anyone was picking Burns, which as I pointed out isn't exactly true.
