Well, that went exactly as expected.

As I predicted it was a horrible ugly fight where Ward just could handle everything Froch had in his arsenal.

I got a bit carried away beforehand and posted some wishful thinking, but I knew deep down it would be like that, Froch shouldnt be shamed, he gave it his best but sadly the man lacks handspedd, and when he did land he doesnt have the power to make it really count.

Still, Froch can rematch Kessler or fight some of the others in the division, he can be in good entertaining fights, and imo thats what he should go for now, he'll never beat Ward, and Dirrell would beat him in a rematch, Kessler, Abrahams, Green, Johnsons of this world Froch needs to fight them in barnburners, thats the best thing for him

Ward will get rated high as hell now, but he's far from unbeatable imo.

Lucian Bute HAS the speed to land and he HAS the brutal power to make it count, I wouldnt rule out a KO for Bute. Andre Dirrell has enough speed of hand and foot to outhustle Ward IF he fights intelligantly, and Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson have the size and style to beat Ward, other than those though, no-one else id pick to beat him

Its a shame Joe C retired when he did, although it was time I have little doubt he'd of clowned this lot.

George Groves and James Degale can go far if they get it right, both are more inherantly talented than Froch and have a good mix of skills

Didn't think it was a horribly ugly fight, thought it was Ward's best performance.

Yeah, by Ward's standards it was a very clean fight. I'll never be in love with his style but it is very effective. It would be interesting to see how a 15 rounder would have gone as Ward seemed to be tiring more than Froch towards the end.
