After his big "win", are all the Diaconu fans still going to say that he would KO Dawson?

Every single thing I said about Diaconu turned out to be true. His stamina is bad, his chin is questionable, he's not as mentally strong as his fans make him out to be, his power is extremely overrated, his finishing skills are overrated, he freezes up when he gets hit, and he's sloppy overall.

He's like a LHW Arthur Abraham with much, much less power, a worse chin, slower hands, and less of an ability to get a second wind late in a fight.

Dawson would destroy this guy. Johnson would too. How can you argue against that now?

I agree his Stanima is bad but chin?

    No...

Henry COULD and SHOULD of Ko'd Diaconu. Diaconu was EXTREMELY gassed. He fell down about 3 -4 times in this fight! henry was hitting Diaocnu with everything and it didn't drop him at all.

One of them should have been ruled a knockdown.... and Henry STILL coulnd't finish him. His chin is great, his Stanima is horrid.

    I agree with goofy's post:

I do hope myself Diaconu learns somthing. He needs to get off them ropes and gettign countered so much. Thats what lost him so many rounds. That and his stamina.

I gave the fight to Dawson. I did a RBR on that too which can confirm that.

I'm not talking about you, You seem pretty fair even though I see you're a Diaconu fan.. I'm talking about those Diaconu fans with blind love that were making threads saying Diaconu is gonna destroy Dawson and this and that.

He reminds me of the hw in ur avatar, stylistically. Adrian and Dawson would be fun to watch. Glen would stop Diaconu.

Wow. So are you finished ripping on Diacanu yet?!

Give Diacanu a break. He hasn't fought in nearly a year. And he won the fight by winning the early - mid rounds.

Only reason the fight was close is because Diacanu slowed down in the second half. Diacanu will be improve his stamina and do better in his next fight.

BTW, Arthur Abraham is a middleweight, not a light heavyweight as you claim!

He was stunned by Henry's punches earlier in the fight and Henry is a light puncher. Plus, by the way he reacted to getting hit flush a few times consecutively I think it's pretty clear a big puncher would finish him quickly.

Henry is a very hard puncher and Diaconu leaves himself open when Henry is pressing forward.

I'm not trying to hate on the guy. He was impressive in the sense that he pulled through and had the heart to last the distance even though he was dead tired. I give him great respect for that. But this thread is more for guys like Realizm who hyped Diaconu insanely without looking at him realistically. I can't wait to see what he says.

His stamina isn't his only problem.

A lot of fighters would stop Diaconu.. Dawson and Johnson would without question.

He's not really a hard puncher, obviously he padded his record with those KOs against probably journeymen

I'm willing to say it was a bad performance...but it did confirm to me at least that he's not ready to fight someone like Dawson.

He doesn't have the foot speed to keep up with Dawson's movement nor does he have the stamina to remain there for the entire fight. He needs to find a way to get his stamina back and face a fighter whose fast enough to give him a taste of what Dawson brings to the table.

All is not lost though..he's got the natural tools.

"Very hard" punchers don't take 8 rounds with war-like exchanges to take out someone like glass chinned Etienne Whitaker.

No, I don't. But it's fun to make threads like this once in a while.

I truly believe he can't even knock out Dawson if he lands flush on him multiple times. His power has always been extremely overrated and his finishing skills aren't good. He's overly tentative and worries too much about blowing himself out stamina-wise when going for the KO.

Exactly what natural tools? He's naturally tough, everything else about his natural abilities/talents is average.
