The scores were let loose after 9 rounds Welliver was up 88-83 and 88-85 on 2 cards, tied 85-85 on the other. That is 7-2 on 1 card. 5-2 with 2 rounds even n the other card. And then the even score.

So Mensah was down by a lot before the 10th round. He needed to sewwp it to secure a majority draw from there with all 3 rounds.

He wound up getting 2 points taken in the 10th for holding and he quit.

Also, leading up to the quittage, Welliver was pulling away from him. Mensah was nowhere near winning in any account of the fight besides a couple trolls.

That blog is funny as hell though. Welliver has lost just 5 brawls. bwahahaha who speaks like that? I like the writer TBH.

The Ghanian proud did strive hard to somehow overcome the huge Hammer but Welliver did not give the requisite leverage.

I like Chuancey's offer to Tua........if he made that offer to any other named HW who isn't holding a title....he'd have him a fight.

Tua better not duck this one in favor of a 100K purse to fight Monte.:rofl

The offer is an innacurrate report. I wish it wasn't but Chauncy has shot down the whole thing. They want the fight but they are not offering him that much.

That report made my day yesterday though. I was going to travel to NZ for that fight.
