2 young warriors. I'd be all for it. Seth Mitchell, Fury or Price as well. Lets see the young guys show who's the next boss.

Speaking of Banks and K2, why not Ustinov? He's ranked also and could be an interesting matchup.

Ustinov would also be a very good match. Looks like Leapai is out as him and Kevin Johnson are announced. Too bad, as Leapai and Welliver would be much more entertaining as they would trade. I believe Kevin Johnson will run all night long and probably nick a very boo filled bout from Leapai.

I'm 99% certain that Welliver would lose a wide UD to Oquendo and Ibragimov. Both are superior technical boxers by far, and Chancy doesn't have the power to threaten them.

Chauncy hasn't even proven that he's on the level of Oquendo or Ibragimov, never mind fighting top rated contenders.

Ibragimov looked like trash fighting Mitchell. He looked like he had no clue and he left his A B and C game at home. What good would it be to fight him now hen he was just clobbered. Welliver vs Mitchell though....that is a serious fight.

Fres, I love the man. Great fighter but his flaw has laways cost him and would cost him against Chauncy. He loses because he does not work hard enough inside. James Toney seriously outworked him in close and stole a fight from him when he was winning it all on the outside. Chauncy is one of the best guys in close. And if James could catch up with and do it to him, Chauncy could too. But he is not the right level at this time IMO.

Chauncy is rated so high with 2 orgs for both klits, is on such a long fight win streak, and has serious draw in China. He's looking for a TV date in the USA or a big fight in China. Banks, Mitchell, Arreola, Fury, Price, Dimitrenko, Boytsov, Ustinov. Those types bring big rewards both way for both guys.

Iggy and Fres bring only big rewards for themselves. They are fights that should get made if Welliver ever lost one. Winner bounces back to contender status...where both guys have something to gain.

But I have nothing to do with it and never say never. I respect both of those dudes but don't feel like that is a big enough step at this point. A Solis rematch is another that is big enough though. I'd really like that in China.

Hey guys. Just popping on real quick. The Moyoyo fight should be posted after its tape delayed showing here in New Zealand.
The Tauasa & Calloway fights cannot be shown on youtube as communist China does not let their fights show outside of the country without special permission that I have been unable to get.

You mean what good would it do Chauncy to get whipped by a guy who just lost to Mitchell?

Ibragimov was doing well against Mitchell for a round and half, keeping the fight on in center ring. When he moved inside (for reasons unknown), he got clobbered by his bigger, harder-hitting foe.

Chauncy could not outbox Ibragimov in center (Iggy has a better jab and better boxing moves). And, like it or not, Ibragimov could even move inside against Chauncy, and win the fight there, too. Chauncy doesn't have Mitchell's power.

Ibragimov will be back in the next month or two, most likely picking up a minor WBA belt. He'll be WBA top-20, possibly WBA top-15 again. If Chauncy's interested in adding a WBA rating to his WBC and WBO belts, here's his chance. Winner take all 4 belts.

Ibragimov is also from Uzbekistan, right next door to China, so he would be received well in the Chinese market.

Ibragimov has the balls to go to China for this fight. Does Chauncy have the balls to fight Iggy?

Fres will be back in action next month, and will probably have 2 tune up victories under his belt by the end of March. He's gunning for a contender. Chauncy should fight Fres...that would be a big upward step for Chauncy.

Nothing against Chauncy, but I don't think he'd lay a glove on Fres. Fres is that much better as a boxer, particularly in open ring. Fres has the faster hands and better ring generalship.

I don't think Chauncy could win a single round against Oquendo.

Just for the record, Fres whipped Mormeck and McCall in a major way. Both fights were outrageous hometown decisions. I also disagree with your assessment of the Toney fight: I thought Fres won 8 rounds clearly.
