Floyd knocks Cotto out in five, hate putting out shity threads but this must be discussed, and we will conclude from the responses from the serious posters in here and ignore the trolls, we know who they are.

Its strange that in peoples mind floyd has become some ko artist at 140+ since suckerpunching ortiz out in 4.
I have read a lot of these floyd ko cotto early type threads, totally unrealistic if you ask me, a floyd ud or late tko would make much more sense.
As to answer the thread, mayweather ud.

That version of Cotto is better than this one. So you must think that Cotto will get knocked out even quicker this time around?

 I was more thinking of how weak Cottos chin looked in that fight more than Floyd as a puncher, I belive he wasn't comfortable taking those two extra pounds off.

I think Mayweather with tko in round 11 when cotto is tired. I can understand why people dislike Mayweather but he is one of the best fighters in the world and we all know why cause he is amazing at what he does FACT!

Cotto will come out and try to bully Mayweather but Mayweather is way to quick and will counter him and will overwealm Cotto in last couple of rounds

I'm supporting the Cotto upset purely to shake thingss up but i can't see it happening, at any weight.

I would like to see more Mayweather KO/TKO's, like everyone else. And although my predictions concerning his bouts are a touch unrealistic at times when predicting stoppages...Mayweather does not knock that version out in 5.

You're talking like Pacquiao didn't land consistently enough throughout the first 5 rounds to get Cotto out of there. :think Mayweather is a different puncher to Pacquiao in terms of accuracy, technique, etc...but again, Mayweather does not KO Cotto in 5.

Also, the two pounds had no affect on Cotto, otherwise he would have mentioned it. If he hasn't said anything regarding the matter, you shouldn't assume either.

in 2008/9 cotto was a 147 fighter and pac was a 135 or 140 fighter, it was a total shock to everybody that manny fought ODLH at 147.

he fought at 140 vs hatton which was round about mannys best weight in 2009, then he agreed to face cotto. should he have gone up 7 lbs? or cotto down 7? no they decided to meet in the middle, actually the middle would have been 143 1/2. so actually cotto was at an advantage

as manny has gotten older since 2009 his natural fighting weight is now 147 and cotto 154. so talking about floyd fighting cotto at 145lbs is ridiculous now!!

in 2009 cotto at 145 was totally reasonable

cotto in 2012 fighting at 145 wouldnt be

    totally stupid thread

    ...............no.

That is, to a KO4. UD or TKO 11/12 is most likely.

Floyd via UD. That version of Cotto would have a few moments. He actually looked very good in the 1st 4 rounds against Pac.

He actually won the majority of the 1st 4 rounds vs Pac, minus the KO's.

If we see a version of Cotto the same or better vs floyd we're in for a good fight.

link to anyone from Cotto camp saying he was drained.

Or are you just assuming he was drained because he had to come in at 145 as apposed to the 146 he weighed the fight before against clottey.
