The division has been kinda empty the past year, but it's starting to heat up again with young talent.

We have the 4 title holders
    WBC Ortiz/Floyd
    IBF Andre Berto
    WBO Manny Pacquiao
    WBA Ukrainian paper champ

    Then we have top contenders
    Jan Zaveck
    Rafal Jackiewicz
    Mike Jones
    Kell Brook
    Deon Alexander
    Shane Oldsley
    Selcuk Aydin
    Paulie Magic man
    Sebastian Lujan

Then Bradley and Khan will be moving up soon. The division won't look that bad.

I don't see anyone that could **** with Manny or Floyd but potential for some good matchups between the contenders.

    Senchencko...

Not just some "Ukrainian paper champ," Senchencko is the next best of the division aside from Mayweather, Pacquiao, Ortiz, and Berto.

The drop off from #2 Floyd, to #3 Ortiz is huge. Basically, it's Pac and Floyd...and the rest.

my bad. I made a thread asking about him the other day and nobody could really give me a good answer about how good he was, but pretty much said he was the weakest belt holder.
Maybe I just don't know enough about him

Good fights but IMO they are all not that great aside ofcourse from Pac and Mayweather.

Khan and Bradley, if and when they move up, will do so to face either Pac or Mayweahter. The other "contenders" will problaby put up good fight between each other but I doubt they will fight each other though. When Pac and Mayweather retire, I see Khan as the cash cow at 147lbs and like Pac and Mayweather will pick and chose his opponents.

them belts aint worth ****, just promotional tools!!

ridiculous berto gets beat up by ortis the other day the lo and behold losing earns him at shot at yet another belt and now surprise surprise he's now the world champion again rubbish.....

belts used to signify who the best was now its just about names marketing and politics!!

The ****ed up thing is, many who cry about all the belts in boxing, use them when they need to back a point of theirs. :patsch

Belts don't give a fighter cred, it's up to the fighter makes the belt credible.

Pac has two more fights left and after he retires, and if floyd retires as well, who should dominate the weight next? khan has potential but the rest are not superstar potential!

Well yeah, def the weakest belt holder. He's good, not great.

WW, after September 17, will be the only division to feature the top four fighters actually having the four major belts.

In all fairness, somebody who loses their title is still probably more qualified to fight for the same or different one than most others in the division.

Who would you rather Zaveck fought? Not Pacquiao, not Mayweather, not Ortiz... It's either Berto or a Senchencko unification. He picked one of the five biggest fights out there, give Zaveck and Berto credit. I can't believe people are bitching about the #4-6 guys in a division fighting each other.
