Margarito is going to Ko Williams...thats what I konw

 

First off I think both of these guys are flawed, yet on the same token are very interesting fighters. Style wise I think this will be a nightmare for Marg. He won't have the skills to effectively engage WIlliams in close quarters which is where he needs to be.

Both of these guys appear to have good chins, so what will be interesting is to see who can take the sustained punishment well, and how well Williams can cope against a good body attack.

I pick Williams by UD. I think Marg is over rated by many, and is set to be exposed. Williams is by no means perfect, but I think he has what it takes to get the job done.

I see your point, Im sticking to my pick of Magarito on points or possible behind the cards KO but there is something in my mind that tells me Magarito is going to have a hard time winning this one on the cards.
And there isnt a whole lot of evidence the say that Williams will eventually crack or has a weak chin. All signs point to a pretty sturdy fighter.
So maybe the behind the points KO is off the table.

Should be a good fight, even if it isnt entertaining boxing needs matchups like this, to pit different styles and the best against each other.

 

Yeah if floyd ever fought Marg he would horribly out box him and all then everyone would turn around and say he was never that good anyway. I can't believe some people have trouble understanding the logic in him avoiding that fight for a potential match up with Oscar that generated millions.

I think this will be a great fight regardless. I would definitely love to see the winner take on Cotto. That would be a hell of a fight, and we would be one step closer to seeing a unified champion.

he hasnt got a half bad chin - also he fights quite well inside seeing as his punches arent as strong as many others in the division. Interesting what happens now with him, Mosley and Cotto at the top of the division

 

If i was Williams fight someone like maybe a Cintron or Clottey.
I wouldnt take on Cotto or Mosley just yet.

i agree - really strong division and always exciting. Hopefully we get a great unification bout down the track

Definitely an awesome division right now. I am just hoping that Cotto can seize the opportunity and fight the big names while he has the chance. Mosley and then Mayweather would be awesome. Even a Williams fight would be good, as Williams is coming off a very impressive win and Cotto would match up very well to him style wise.

 

Personally I think Williams could beat Mosley quite handily. Mosley doesn't like having to get inside of taller opponents, and struggled against Wright and Forrest who were both taller fighters with longer reach.
