Not really a fair comparison. We have no idea how, for example, Miguel Cotto's career is going to turn out.

I see Hearns, Leonard, Duran, and Benitez beating De La Hoya, Mosley, Mayweather, Cotto, Forrest, Williams, Spinks, Judah, Margarito, Cintron, Hatton, and Mayorga.

Mayweather-Benitez would be a very interesting matchup at 147

i think williams would give him problems. de la hoya 50-50 chance. tito would succumb to his boxing and power. pbf is to small. mosley has a very good chance. quartey would go in 6. cotto would give him problems but be ko'd in 8

Williams wouldn't give Hearns many problems. He isn't as fast, he wouldn't have a size advantage, and he wouldn't be a hard target for Hearns right hand to find. Hearns TKO

De La Hoya wouldn't have a 50% chance....reduce that significantly. Hearns UD or late TKO

Mosley is too small...styles make fights. Hearns was better than Forrest in all aspects. Hearns TKO

Agreed with Quartey - two great jabbers, but Hearns was on another level completely

Cotto is tailor made for Hearns. An aggressive, smaller fighter who isn't too hard to find and can be hurt. Think of Pipino Cuevas and Roberto Duran...that's would would happen to Miguel Cotto. Maybe even in the 1st round.

Williams would definitely give Hearns problem's because of his awkardness but Hearns would win.

SRL and Hearns whip ass, just like they did then.

Oh how I would love to see SRL give Floyd a boxing lesson and late TKO and Hearns?? Well Floyd just flat out wouldnt face him, PERIOD. If he did?? Brutal mid-round stoppage. Hearns is among the hardest punchin WW's EVER:good

does this really highlights the lack of talent in todays boxing
or does it just show what exceptional fighters SRL and co were? i still think a prime trinadad, DLH and Mosely would give SRL a pritty tough fight. we haven't seen enough of cintron or cotto to make a fair conclusion but they'll probrably wake up in emergency care before they see the 5th round.

No, if you matched the 4 up I listed individually against the 12 guys from this era, I think the 1980s would win every fight. And if not every fight, a very big portion - even against prime De La Hoya, Mosley at his best at 147, Mayweather, and Trinidad - who I forgot to list.
