I remember him being ahead and being the aggressor but before the stoppage Hopkins had already started to control the fight, maybe a round or two before. It was DLH early on but then Hopkins changed strategy and decided to outmuscle DLH. Hopkins would have won with or without liver shot, maybe not by ko, but win nonetheless.

IF you can punch the canvas like a little girl, you can get up for the 10 count. That fight is laughable.

Bernard Hopkins said in a video interview after the fight that he felt Oscar was beating him before the knockout. He said that you can see him asking his corner who was winning... and that means that he knew it wasn't him. He said that he couldn't get much on Oscar because Oscar was suprising him with his aggression, but that everytime he tried something Oscar would take a half step, and he would be out of range.

Nard always starts slow but was controling the fight by the time of the stoppage. not really surpised people had Oscar up at that point, but it was clear who was really "winning" the fight. it was starting to look real bad for Oscar before the KO.

I'm a big Oscar fan but no way he was ahead. He was punching the air. Oscar won 3 rounds at best in that fight.

Doesnt matter what he was punching just like in the JT-Hopkins fights when one guy is hitting air and the other guys hands arent moving ill take the dude hitting air.

He was ahead in one card in his own mind ( post-fight interview) because Jim Lampley corrected him and said he was behind in all three. Sorry for the reminder.
