I went to the LA press conference yesterday and it was awesome...All the fans were cheering on their respective fighters. Oscar De La Hoya was cool and pretty much said the same thing about the fight that he did at the NYC presser..He signed some autographs and bounced SOME OF THE FANS TOLD HIM TO FIGHT MANNY AGAIN AND MAKE HIM TAKE THE TESTS THIS TIME AND HE COULD BEAT HIM IF HE WASN'T JUICING..LOL Shane and Naseem were cool too...Both signed autographs as did Jack Mosley and were cool with the fans...Shane stayed for a while just to sign too Floyd was cool too..He signed a ton of autographs and a bunch of fans asked him to shadowbox and it was an awesome site when he did..He kept on making the bodyguards job hard cuz he would run away from em and start signing more autographs when they was trying to get him into espn... JOE CALZAGHE WAS A STRAIGHT DICK AND WAS BITCHING ABOUT HAVING TO SIGN ANYTHING...HE SIGNED 1 OR 2 AUTOGRAPHS AND SAID "I DONT HAVE TIME FOR ALL THIS ****" AND THAN BOUNCED OUT.. ALL IN ALL IT WAS EXCITING AND FUN MINUS JOE:thumbsup
And UK fans wonder why we question his legacy. I went to the DC press conference and Mayweather refused to leave without signing an autograph for everyone, he worked the pads with roger as well, they pretty much had to shut down the Lincloln theatre to get us out of there. So what u want but mayweather is cool in person.
Why the hell was he even there if he didn't want to sign anything? I guess he figured no one would recongnize him.
Yeah i noticed that too, Mayweather is always friendly in person, signing etc..I saw a vid earlier of him trying to reverse his car but there were lots of fans, reporters etc, and he didn't mind stopping to sign autographs etc..
Good to see Money May and Mosley showing the fans some love. I think Calzaghe is just not a people person. Warren wrote about how he hated making public appearences and always cancelled.
Are you sure he ran out of time? I think he got angry because the two people that asked him for his autograph thought he was Froch.
Did you get a chance to catch up with paul williams. I was at the DC presser too and saw him during the speeches, but afterwards he was ghost.
yea all the fighters, sergio mora, victor ortiz, oscar, floyd, shane, were all there and were all cool.... They didnt really say why joe was there though...richard schafer just announced him as being there and he came out and said hi and than was just hanging out....talked a tad to the media and got all bitchy when he was leaving
Ya...The bodyguards were trying to pull him away from all the fans but he kept running back to sign autographs and take pictures...then when he went into ESPN he kept running out to sign some stuff...
He was great over here in London aswell, signed as much as he could before being literally bundled into a car and played to the crowd a bit from a balcony
