I'll skip down and type my **** before i read any responces above.

plain and simple. werdum is giving fedor a chance at redemption against someone everyone thought was going to crush him...and considers him lucky with his win. wercum did not immediatly look past his biggest accomplishment in his career..and in most others career if they were in his situation.

werdum didn't even talk smack or get ridicuous over his unlikely win.. he remained humble and proud and gave fedor ...amazing props and respect as a fan and saluted him as the best...ever. offered him a rematch if he so chose to do. true class. and props to brazillain jiu jit.

fedor showed that in his age..he will make mistakes out of his usual style of punching brawling and beating oppenents but soon later face people like roy jones did... some have grown to respect and admire...but learn your moves and study you..only to one day take you down. It seemed like werdum had a victory that he enjoyed winning...but would be happy if his fedor continued his legendary streak against anyone else.

after fedors streak. there was no need to ask him about a rematch. or to look past him for the next opponent. werdum is showing respect and class much like fedor has.

I'm not a big fan of the sport so if i come off wrong to the pros of this ****...eh. ...it's just how i see it.

dana white is going to try to get werdum now..even though he talked **** about him.

I guarantee in the rematch... fedor will have a new m.o. .....new tricks up the sleeve...and might even give a symbolic tap out of werdum.

  2. Actually it was Aleksander Emelianenko who pointed out to Werdum of Fedor's weaknesses. There was a video of Werdum saying this a long time ago.........right after he beat Aleksander. It was basically an innocent and friendly tip between fighters.

Still take nothing away from Werdum, Aleks might have given out Fedor's weaknesses but it was Werdum who took advantage of it and was Fedor who made the initial mistake in trying to close the fight too early.

Fedor has been slowly going away from his Sambo and Judo roots. You can see that his early fights normally ended up by submissions, whereas now he just KO's everyone. For this fight I think he concentrated on Overeem too much, he bought in kickboxers instead of Sambo/Judo fighters. Oh well, this is the nature of the fight game.

Werdum himself has said over and over and over that he wants to fight FEDOR. He isnt running scared as well (from anyone), and even said that he would be willing to fight Fedor IN RUSSIA...................damn only one other fighter has gone into the lions den and that was Matt Lindland.
