I feel G-man`s left hook to the body was equally as damaging as Ray Robinson`s right hook to the side of the body, am I right? I also feel McCallum was a smarter body puncher than G-man was, were their any other middles in the past who were great like this when banging to the body?
Tony Zale had a deadly body attack (The 40's fighters, including Murderers' Row, concentrated a lot on the body attack)
McCallum for sure. Lamotta, Cerdan and Zale were brutal body punchers. BHOP deserves mention as well for his body punching particularly in the early days of his middleweight reign.
Yes LaMotta scored a lot to Ray`s body in their final fight, but Ray`s hooks to LaMotta`s side did a lot more damage to Jake in that bout.
While he did not possess the speed, skill and power of G-Man, I do think Fullmer was pretty solid in his body attack.
