Is there a chance for this fight? Or is HBO trying to line up Winky Wright instead?

I don't think it will happen, but maybe they called out Hopkins because they would make some good money for a fight against Hopkins. I hope to see Wright-Abraham in Feb though. That will be a good one.

I dont know why he would want this fight, unless he's trying to be Pavlik's little brother.

I would be disappointed in Bernard if he goes back to his old ways of fighting people that has to come up 1-2 divisions to fight him. :/

At least let Abraham have some fights at 168 before they even consider fighting.

If Hopkins has the balls, he should fight Kessler who is at least closer to Bernard's current size. Abraham has much lower output and would be an easier fight for Bernard also given the fact that Abraham has never fought above 160, but I would be very disappointed if Bernard went for the easiest option. Let AA have 3-4 SMW fights and then they can get it on, but for now it would just be infair.

Hopkins seems to be focused more on Kessler next or someone else, Abraham wants to fight Pavlik and his next fight seems to be with Sturm so far. I know this though, if Abraham said he wants Hopkins then I'm sure he means it, there is no fear in Abraham.

Hopkins-Abraham would be a massacre on Abraham because it'd HAVE to happen at either a 170 catch weight or 175 itself. That's too much for Abraham IMO.

That's why it won't happen, it MIGHT later but I would expect Hopkins to be retired when Abraham is ready for the move. Right now I see Abraham sticking at Middleweight with two fights already in plan(Sturm, Pavlik). Maybe if he's successfuly in both fights he might make a move to SMW.

hopkins should fight kessler. most of hopkins' opponents that he beat with the exception of tarver had to blow up in weight to fight a big man. winky had to jump sevral weight classes and did well considering he's a natural superwelter

Abraham would not be wise to make this fight.

    Sturm's promoter Kohl imho.

Abraham's promoter Sauerland has offered Sturm € 2.5 million for the unification yesterday... Sturm's people haven't made a counter-offer so far I believe. There seem to be serious problems regarding their competing TV networks as well.

Man if Abraham and Pavlik move up...SMW is going to be unreal.

Pavlik, Abraham, Andrade, Kessler, Bute, Taylor, Bika, Froch, Green, Inkin

Up and comers like Dirrell, Pascal, Ward, Jacobs
