Its hard to rate him. Looks very crude on film but the film from that era doesnt exactly do justice. P4p though hed probably be in my top 50, maybe somewhere between 40-50
Actually it was. He shouldn't have been messing with the farm hand's wife. :yep I think there are better middleweights than Ketchel, although he does seem quite formidable for his era. He and Billy Papke had a good rivalry going. Papke seems every bit as uncompromising and vicious as Ketchel himself, although he didn't have Ketchel's power. But yeah, off the top of my head there are about a dozen middleweights (maybe more if I took the time to think about it) that I'd place above Ketchel.
Joking aside. I used to be a bit silly and imature in this respect. The only time when the chickens really came home to roost for me was over something I didnt actualy do. This guy was using his girlfriend as a punchbag and I just gave her the train money to get out of town. He didnt shoot me but I knew I had been in a war at the end of it.
