About 2 months pass from when the negotiation started and almost 1 month from when the WBO gave the Deadline for them to reach an agreement. It true that the extension on the Deadline that Sauerland asked for was given by the WBO but still, the should've got all the things sort out in a week or two. They were saying they are close to reach an agreement and the main problem was the location where the fight was going to take place.
What are the latest news? The fight could head to a purse bid. Who will be benefit from that?
Could the fight be off and Kessler vs Bute be a possibility again?!

There's no news. Maybe it's because of the holidays. I'm sure an agreement has been reached. Otherwise we'd have heard it. The promotors are likely waiting for everybody to return from holiday to ensure max hype when the fight is announced.

But Bute is about 3 times as dangerous an opponent as Stieglitz, and about 5 times when Stieglitz has to fight in Denmark.

Don't know what hollydays you talk about. Only know that the schools are closed students having vacantion.

Now If I was Stieglitz I would surly love for the fight to end up at purse bid, and do anything in my powers to be so.

    Why?

Stieglitz interest is to make the most money. His own promotor (SES) has little chance to outbid Sauerland. Sauerland basically "just" have to make an offer a little greater than SES and give Stieglitz his share of that. The rest would go 100% to Sauerland.

I'd recommend him to strike a deal instead of gambling.

The thing is that Sauerland doesn't know what surprise could SES be storing for them so they can't affort to make a low offer, if they don't want to risk it having it in Germany , were who know how the much power over the decision Stieglitz will hold. Sauerland is gonna make at least a decent bid from what Robert will get 80% of it. Pretty good isn't it.

Drawing 5K in Magdeburg and television from SAT1 just doesn't generate any significant revenue.

SES would need a major danish player to pull in the major TV money and those players are coorporating with Sauerland. Of course SES could try to find a new station willing to show boxing. I wouldn't find that likely, but it cannot be ruled out.

If it goes to purse bid, think at Kessler v Perdomo offer of $2,114,000 (USD) , I think this one will be even higher. OR they can risk to do what happend with Hausler when Kessler offer was 777,777,77 (USD) and they lost to the 1,140,040 (USD) offer.

    I think 80% of :
    a) 2,500,000 (USD) or
    b) 3,000,000 (USD)
    is quite nice for Stieglitz.
That means at a 80/20 cut:
    a) 2,000,000 Stieglitz and 500,000 (lol) Kessler
    b) 2,400,000 Stieglitz and 600,000 (LMAO) Kessler.
