There is no evidence in the medical community to document that such a phenomenon or 'roid rage' even existing. Golota's and Tyson's meltdowns were caused by their respective mental illnesses. Tyson was loaded to the gills on prescription anti-psych drugs.

I dont know about Golota, but Tyson was a physical freak, at the age of 13-14 he was over 200 pounds 5'10 and had under 10% body fat, this is an amazing feat in itself. Tyson was naturally a big kid, during his second career he came back at the age of 29, and yes, he was bigger, but most men after the age of 27 do start to put on weight, Tyson just had the best trainers and nutritionalists to turn that into muscle, not fat.

I also watched a documentary on Tyson that said his medical condition helps him in the weight room/training, so no, I dont think Tyson was on steroids.

Holyfield and Morrison both accused Mike of using. I think that it is a very real possibility he used anabolics. In the 80's they were legal drugs that were easy to acquire and state athletic commissions didn't even start testing for them until the late 80's. More than likely alot of heavyweights took them.. Why wouldn't you? If your weight is unlimited and you can have such a great aid in recovery I'm sure most athletes would use this tool at their disposal. That being said Mike never tested positive for anything except herb so it's all speculation. Whether or not he took drugs he was a genetic freak in many aspects. He would have been big and muscular whether or not he took drugs.

i don't think mike was ever on roids espically in his prime,
    golota,who knows...probably not

and holyfield should accuse anyone roids...it is almost common knowelge that he was on them and showed all the signs...when he moved up in weight...

fast weight gain which is all muscle...

he got bald very fast as he gained that weight....

his heart problems which disappeared as he got less musclar....

I dont think Tyson took steroids. Tyson should have never gotten rid of Kevin Rooney. I think it is one of the biggest mistakes in sports history, right up there with the Sox getting rid of Ruth. But, I always suspected Golota. I also suspected Briggs, Lewis, Holyfield, Morrison, etc. I suspect steroids was used a lot in the 90's in every sport. It is only recently we have been finding out.

Mike tyson, was just a lunitic, it stemed from the fact he was a ******.
Andrew golota, has nowhere near the level of insanity, of iron mike. But his problems from what i can make out, was his childhood that was worse than tysons in the impoverished childrens homes of warsaw. Being a big boy he used it to bully, and his his attitude didnt change as a adult. Do you think i would make, a good soicoligist?

Thats rather ironic. Holy was implicated by Balco and because he trained with Lee Haney and Morrison already admitted he was on steroids.

Actually Golota was bullied as a kid because of a stuttering problem.

It's probably what motivated him to fight.

Thats crap. Holy never showed any gains of any sort. He fought his first fight at heavyweight at a "whopping" 202lbs when he fought Quick Tillis. His previous fight before that was against Carlos De Leon and he made the usual limit of 190lbs. Holy would have walked around at MORE than 12lbs above the weight. Even to this day at 45 or so years of age Holy is still able to come in as light as 210lbs.If your on mass building steroids like Deca Test etc you dont make such minute gains as that. His first fights at heavy were his walking around weight. This is testament to his dedication and his professionalism.

As for balding Holy was balding since his early 20`s.This is also a common misperception with steroid/hormone abuse and certainly isnt hard and fast as the effects vary from one person to the next.

Again heart problems in regards to steroids or hormone abuse takes YEARS to develop. Holy was still a soaking wet 215lbs at best INBETWEEN fights and at the weigh in and would have had to been on them for some time before he suffered any ill effects on his organs.Either way its an immaterial point as the heart defect was misdiagnosed and it was apparently due to pain killers injected in his body.
