Well, this must be the biggest joke coming out of a trainer's mouth to ever see the light of day.

Eddie Mustafa Mohammad, at the Montreal public training, when interviewed by the Montreal journalists said:

"I like listening to Pascal talk. He doesn't stop talking. It's okay, we are going to shut his mouth come fight night".

Jean Pascal has been known to have a big mouth in the past. See the Miranda build up for example. But his promoter and him have decided since to change strategy since it doesn't work in Montreal.

During the Dawson build up, he was always respectfull of Chad and never said ANYTHING inflamatory. Even if the Montreal journalists tried to pull some declarations out of him.

Eddie clearly doesn't keep himself informed properly. Is this a sign they are taking Pascal a little litghly?

  2. Dawson is going to punish Pascal for talking so much trash.

Pascal is going to wish he never became a boxer in the first place.

No it's not a sign they're taking him lightly and they will dominate this fight. They're going to his backyard for this one so they know better than to take him lightly.

It's a sign that Pascal's change in **** talking strategy hasn't really sunk in yet. If you're a disrespectful ******* for years (not saying Pascal is that but in general), it takes more than a few weeks for people to buy into your change of character.

True, hadn't seen it that way. Mohammad might be refering to older Pascal quotes. Still funny though when taken out of context.

Yeah, there is no trash talking from Pascal's camp on this fight. That's what's so funny about Mohammad's quote on the subject. Apparently, all the journalists present started laughing when he said that.:smoke

Mohammad's just trying to stir up interest in the fight. A little drama is good for promotion.

I'm pretty sure that's it. He chose the wrong way to do it though. Making a fool of himself isn't the way to promote a good fight.
