as he retired or is he fighting on personally i would like to see him in one more big fight maybee against valero or presscott still think he has the skills to outbox both and would be a good way to bow out

    ESPN deportes.
(One of the best boxing analysts out there, IMO)

I'm pretty sure his boxing days are behind him.

He claims he will be back one more time sometime by the end of the year or early next year.

hes far too small for Prescott at lightweight. Barrera has always looked absolutely terrible at lightweight. Porbably hung himself after reading how Khan "outclassed" and "embarrassed" him in all of the papers then ext day

presscott would not be able to out box barrera and i dont think his power would come into it barrera always had a good chin .hes 2-1 at lightweight and the loss was very dodgy

Probably disenchanted with boxing after the Khan farce.

have you seen barreras two previous opponents before Khan at lightweight? did you see the fights? Barrera was throwing punches slower than Valuev, and was barely connecting.

yea i saw the fights looked like he was using them to shake off some rust and even in the khan fight he could still slip khans punches no problen untill the cut i dont think hes as shot as people think and i would like to find out

If Barrera was a little bigger naturally, and a hard puncher at lightweight, he would have demolished Khan even with the cut at this stage of his career, but at this point Khan was an expert at bullying smaller, slower guys, and Barrera is SLOWWWWW at LW and absolutely TINY compared to Khan. Even natural LWW Kotelnik looked about half a frame smaller than Khan. Look at the size of Kotelnik compared to Gavin Rees, Maidana and Witter in their fights, then look at him compared to Khan.

If he is to fight again, it should be at feather.

i agree if he could make featherweight or super feather then he would have a far better chance at a title but remember he weighed in heavy for khan i just dont think he can get that low anymore. dosnt mean he shouldnt be able to fight
