That would be worth watching, If Kirby could use a bit of a jab and straight right that would help him immensely as well.
Its definately not the end for the big fella he needs to learn from this loss and come back stronger

    Probably straight to A & E for a catscan.
It's impossible to get through a relentless beating like he had without some serious after affects to the brain.
Kirby has a big heart and if he continues with his walk up approach like Friday night his boxing career is going to be short and sweet. You'd hope he has people around him who give a **** about the guys health and either advise him to avoid getting hit or give it away.
Kirby needs to improve his defence, move his head more....commentators kept praising him for his ability to go the distance...from about the 5th rond on there was absolutely no chance he would get close with the barrage of clean hits to the head he was taking.

definatley think he could do with shedding a few kilos, and maybe learning to snap out a jab every now and then... the thing is i dont think there is much he can chage, hes never going to be on the balls of his feet but he just has to be more patient maybe...

I dont think his wieght was a problem, he moved comfortably and looked at ease with carrying himself.
I found it hard to comphend his game plan. What was it?
Walk forward for 12 rounds taking everything in his stride while trying to match it with a super fit Solo.
    No plan.
Does anybody know what his corner had decided was the approach for this fight?

I heard KIRBY say he's to slow to try and outbox anyone he will stay in front on there chest and try and bomb them out. remember KIRBY works 6 days a week he's workout is 12 rounds on the heavy bag a bit of skipping he runs 8 ks evey second day and 6 rounds of sparring twice a week KIRBY's trained by he's brother who only had a background in kickboxing.

It's clear he can box and has the ticka for it, needs to tidy up his skills and organise a clear game plan for his opponents.
Solo has shown in the past his right is deadly accurate and fast.
kirby looked like he was hoping that Solo had lost his nerve and would'nt put on the hammering and repetitive right.

well he certainly doesnt waste any energy jumping up and down on his toes, hes a very solid guy but if he think speed is his problem i dont think there is much he can change... and if he's getting some decent coin he prob wont need too as there arent very many that can do what sol did on friday night..

    Agree 100 % with Boxoncottonon's comments.
That old adage " too tough for his own good " comes to mind.
The fight should have been stopped 2 or 3 rounds earlier.
Without any real defensive skills Kirby should give it away unless he wants to become
    another Jerry Quarry.

ok lets get it right all the comments that are being made are unfair.
micks brother is a great motivator and at the end of the day its his brother.
mick did need a game plan if plan A wasnt working after the 1ST and 2nd that was pretty obvious IT WERENT GOING TO WORK TO RUSH IN AND SMOTHER,
thats when he needed to settle down and turn to plan B witch there wasnt, hommono trained for this fight witch dosent mean he is better fighter just better schooled
fighting is a simple game its exactly like chess not all your opponents will make the same moves
unfortunately the brothers had to learn the hard way witch will make both of them wiser
i still put his loss down to nerves
