cold? Not saying they would have won, but were they too dry? A good example of getting caught cold is JMM vs PacMan I. JMM was caught cold in the 1st round and dumped 3X's, but in the later rounds he took some pretty good straight lefts from PacMan. Was that a result of him being warmed up? Thoughts?
No they were just knocked senseless. When someone gets caught cold you can see it in there face. They have there wits about them but there legs just don't want to work right. Quintana and De Leon just got laced.
I think it was part of both KOs, but especially Quintana's. His showed a good chin before, survived the Julio scare, Cotto finished him on the body and Williams couldn't hurt him in the first fight. And Williams is not really a sick puncher. Juanma is a KO artist, so cold or not, PDL would've been KOd anyway...
Both of them just got careless and caught with a big shot. There opponents followed up and there wasn't much they could do about it.
I haven't seen either fight, but judging on what I have seen of each of them previously, I would assume that Quintana was caught cold, whilst I have always thought PDL was a walking KO for someone, bearing in mind he was schooled by Escobedo in December, yet received a wide UD gift
They were just outclassed I'm afraid. Not composed enough to be able to hand much better fighters and were just blown out.
I think quintana was caught cold but deleon was just KTFO!, Q has shown he can beat williams and no it was not a fluke the first fight, and if they ever fought agan it would be a good close fight. ponce deleon just has no defence and was just waiting to get caught by sumone and juan ma was the one to catch him.

Quintana was definatly caught cold. He wsa able to take Pual's best last fight and outbox him handily he was never expecting paul to come out the way he did. Deleon just got KTFO
bring prepared is part of wining warming up before a fight is part of being perpared. I give Wililams and Lopez full credit for their victories
I don't think either guy got caught cold. They got hit with big shots and both Williams and Lopez closed the deal. Getting caught cold is what happened many years ago when Freddie Pendleton ran across the ring as the bell sounded and knocked out Sammy Fuentes in like 15 seconds.
