Were the ATG welterweights too big for Henry Armstrong?

Armstrong's longest reign was at welter...but were the other ATG's just too big for him to beat? SRR, Gavilan, Burley, Griffith, Napoles, Leonard, Hearns, Walker etc? Are we selling Armstrong's chances short?...or is it too much to ask?
How does Armstrong stack up in your opinion?

I think that Zivic proved that this was the case.

Some would be and some wouldnt.

He could give sombody like Robinson or Leonard a good fight and possibly beat them but I would not like to put him in with Hearns.

My thoughts exactly. Hearns really had the frame of a bigger fighter, who probably didn't even belong at welterweight, and that doesn't even begin to get into his punching power. Duran might be another problem for armstrong. Leonard and Robinson would be interesting matches though.

Some guys would tear him a new *******, but his style coud be troubling for some of the smaller champs.

From most accounts, Robinson carried him.

And I was also going to say Hearns would be a nightmare for him, but one that'd be over quick.
