Were there any "robberies" in history in which you scored for the actual winner?

I would have to watch it again to see that, it was 10 years ago. I just remember never understanding what the fuss was about, because IMO it was a close fight. Indeed if I was from the USA I would be fuming that some of my tax dollars went into an investigation of this fight, it was a disgrace.

i think a lot of the madness around it was caused by eugenia williams defence of her scorecard (113-115 in favour of holy), and in particular the 5th round (i think) where lewis done his best round in the fight, pounding away at evandar.

she gave it to holyfield though, and when pressed as to why she did, she said she didn't have a very good view of the action as lewis back was facing her most of the round, when HBO looked back at the footage this was proven to be bull**** and williams had a perfect view throughout the round.

williams flimsy defence of herself raised many an eyebrow and only added fuel to the fire that something wasn't quite right that evening.

A fight should only really be scored on the first viewing, as this is what the judges have to go by as well. Repeat viewings will taint your initial decision, as you will start to notice subtle things that you don't notice the first time, but that isn't fair, the judges don't get the pleasure of watching fights multiple times to score them.. they get one view, once chance.

So rewatching fights over and over and scoring them over and over means jack-****.
