Were there any straight forward sluggers in boxing history that could beat Hagler?

As different as they were Marvin ruthlessly beat Antuofermo,Hamsho,Sibson and Roldan...thats 4 very effective ' sluggers'.... Minter and Hearns seemed to fight him as relentless sluggers and paid the price

Disagree about Hearns. Hearns wanted to box him and Hagler forced him into a punch-out.

There’s a chance that Jackson could catch Hagler with the kind of blindside hail mary right hand that put Graham out cold before he even hit the floor. Hagler had a great chin an unlikely to be knocked out cold but even he might have been floored by it

Marvin did have some scar tissue and it’s not impossible that the right walk-in slugger could bust him up and get a cuts stoppage.

Hagler had to switch to boxing Bennie Briscoe when he got cut early.
